Visions + Goals

Each social project should have a spiritual above the physical aspect in order to succeed. As Jesus reminds us: "Men does not live from bread alone, but from every word which comes from the Mouth of God."

OUR 12 PRINCIPLES ARE:

1. There is a God who loves us and sees what we do

2. Faith is a vital component of Character development

3. Life is eternal and we are accountable for our actions

4. Humans are physical and spiritual

5. Self discipline is essential to achieve the full potential of life

6. The crown of a self-disciplined life is pre-marital abstinence

7. Learning to live for the sake of others is a key objective of life and is the foundation of being able to make a lasting happiness in life.

8. Premarital sex and/or sex without commitment is a self-destructive behaviours.

9. Violence is wrought upon society by those who could not find their Godly value within their family.

10. Healing begins with honest reflection, facing the truth and choosing to change within a supportive environment.

11. We want to help youth to save their lives. We will always be honest in this purpose.

12. We are going to have Fun, we are happy to be alive. God wants us to be happy to be alive.

Below are our plans and goals for the future
 1. Goals and Objectives

My dreams: Is simple, to start with buying a piece of land, where I will build a simple children Home/. It will accommodate 24 orphans/two mothers and myself and a prayer room (God first in everything).

This will be feeding place for street children. They will be bathing here and change cloths. Plus other facility like clinic with a nurse/small vegetable garden and fish pond/nursery school/multi user basketball pitch/ ETC.

The first goal would be to BUY LAND/house for 24 street children and 2 foster mothers or social workers, in order to get them away from the street, drugs and stealing and sending them also to school. Furthermore In a period of only one year a house could be built, since in Kawangware no reasonable free house exists for such purpose. The idea is that the children could finish the school, learn a profession, get of the street, have medical treatments and become healthy. Besides this through cooperation with the social workers or foster mothers moral education will be given to clear them up on immorality and the spread of Aids, etc. in order to protect them.

The final goal is, that this children growing up, finish the school successfully and learning a good profession, learning above principles, creating healthy families, overcoming the poverty and changing the slums into a good, reasonable living standard area. Of course this is a long time project, but it will help and the spread of Aids and other sickness due to poverty will decrease.

2. Project Design and Implementation Plan

For our understanding a children’s home is the first best way to work out on dealing with the above mentioned problem. Unless they get adopted into good standard families. The home is where the street kids will have a fast rehabilitations from their usual way of thinking and life. The children will have the chance through the help of able peer counselors (social workers, foster mothers) to identify who they are and finding their true identity and the potential in them that was going to waste. They will also be given parental love, taught character moral education according to their age and understanding. Bottom line is that any orphan child who have never received LOVE cannot be able to love, the world is just a hell of kind survival for the lions. After acceptance of their situations and desire to change, the children will be helped to join Government education system till the level of their ability and also depending on their foster parent’s ability.

Orphaned children will also be taken care of at the home by special attendance mothers till they are old enough to join schools. Destitute children not already in the streets mostly from poor homes could be taken care of selectively from their respective homes. Assistance can be in form of education and clothing whilst attending peer counseling programs. Orphaned children must be registered with the Government children’s office as proof of guardianship.

A street program visit is to be initiated so as to be in a position to bring the children to a closer understanding of what the home has to offer to them in exchange of behaviors change. The street program will form of a feeding program at the street bases. The home will always look for repatriation cases where children willing to rejoin their families either in the city or rural homes. The home will always follow up the cases where the children were taken to. It will be responsible in school placements, school uniforms and books support while follow ups done as per each case. The children that feel that their level of education is okay can opt the next move with the help of peer counselors. They can either go for vocational training (mason, tailoring, carpentry, typing, and mechanics etc.) or continue with higher education -academic. After they are through with their education, the home will help them in finding jobs as per their respective qualifications and help them set up their houses with minimal follow ups. The home scope of coverage is first Kawangware, and later Waithaka, Kabiria, Kibera slums in Nairobi the capital city of Kenya. Finally be spread out to whole nation of Kenya. The home plans to start with 24 children aged between weeks old up to 10 years old.

Currently we do not have our own land to put up a home but as the problem is still rampant. A permanent home would be an appropriate place to bring up the children without the worries of being evicted due to unavoidable circumstances. We need a six bed roomed house with a compound well fenced.

You ask what could inhibit the project? We believe, that nothing could inhibit the project, only lack of means could delay the final goal.

A vision and a dream without an owner is just an idea. Yet a vision and a dream that has an owner can transform the world.

"Nothing is as real as a dream. The world can change around you, but your dream will not. Responsibilities need not erase it. Duties need not obscure it. Because the dream is within you, no one can take it away."

I wish you heavenly strength, patience, wisdom and blessing for your activities. Heartily greetings.
May God’s blessings be upon you May God be happy for this hour and ETERNITY.

We stand in the position to directly inherit God's divinity:
"False Pride is death, Humility is life, and false pride is all hell, Humility is all heaven."

1: One family under God allows all of humanity to see itself as one unified family – beyond the borders of any one nation, beyond ethnicity, and even beyond religious traditions. - adopt the initiative not just for one nation under God, but for one family under God and the values and the principles that this engenders? - we are first and foremost the sons and daughters of God and members of His eternal family. - cooperation in vision and in values and in principles?

2: I believe that if we come together as brothers and sisters based upon a common vision, common principles, and common values, the political and economic benefits of cooperation will naturally follow. please dream big and think boldly about what this future can offer. This is a time in which we need to fight for a vision and ideas that can move humanity in this 21st century to a world of peace, prosperity, and most important, humanity’s divine dignity. I believe that the time is right for this world to receive the message of one family under God

3: RAPE AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE WAR TACTIC: Kingori concludes: As I witnessed in Kenya’s post Election Violence -: rape and sexual violence as a "war tactic" that aims to "humiliate, dominate, instill fear in, disperse and/or forcibly relocate civilian members of a community or ethnic group." - The recognition of rape as a weapon of war by the international community is significant and historic because it acknowledges what has been described as "one of history’s greatest silences" — the sexual violation of women and girls during periods of conflict. - Soldiers, war-mongers and combatants know that one of the most effective ways to destroy a community is by raping its women and girls. - Rape and sexual violence not only emotionally damage the victims; they destabilize affected populations, and destroy bonds that keep families and communities together. - Rape and sexual violence during conflict must be viewed in the same light as genocide and other crimes against humanity. I (Kingori) lobby for an international law that would put in place measures and legal instruments that would make rape during conflict as punishable as torture or genocide.
